Descriptions
The proposal is for the demolition of an existing one storey extension to the Forum building and canopy entrance at Hendon Campus at Middlesex University (The Burroughs, London, NW4 4BT), to be replaced by the new build construction of a five storey higher education building for teaching and education staff and administrative offices. Also included in these works are landscaping reconfigurations which will improve access to this building, and tie-in with landscaping works proposed across the Hendon Campus.The Forum North building will provide highly flexible space that can accommodate a wide range of potential programmes from studios and seminar space to specialist facilities, theatre, arts, music and dance space. It will enable temporary use by departments as buildings elsewhere on the campus are renovated and upgraded.The proposed contract form is GC Works 1 published by the Stationery Office for the Property Advisors for the Civil Estate (PACE).The contract covers a 2 stage design and build process for the forum north building.
