Fothergill's Road Embankment Stabilisation, New Tredegar

Descriptions

The embankment supporting Fothergill's Road, New Tredegar is subject to a landslip with the basal shear surface approximately 6 to 7.5m below the surface at the mid slope. This contract is to construct an anchored king piled wall to support the road. The slope directly in front will be lowered and re-graded to enhance the factor of safety of the embankment combined with drainage to help de-water the lower slopes.There is a prequalification questionnaire assessed on a mixture of Pass/Fail criteria and scoring, the majority of which is in relation to relevant previous experience in similar work, further information can be found in the PQQ and on the attached drawing.
