The Councils require an appropriate number of providers who will operate the services using a range of vehicles including; cars, people-carriers, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, minibuses and coaches. Passenger Assistants will be required on some group and individual journeys to provide support to Service Users who have additional needs. In some instances the Councils will arrange the provision of Passenger Assistants, but suppliers will usually be required to provide Passenger Assistants.
