CCW are looking for one contractor to conduct the development and preparation of advice and guidance for CCW staff, responsible authorities, regulatory authorities and government on technical and procedural issues in the context of the EIA, SEA Directive and Habitats Directive. Notably in the context of the strategic planning, land use planning and environmental resource planning systems in Wales and the UK.Major changes to the EIA Directive are expected within the lifetime of this agreement. In order to enhance CCW’s input into the EIA process and to build CCW capacity in respect of anticipated legal and process changes, considerable technical, procedural and legal resources will be required to enable the implementation of any revisions to the EIA Directive, in particular with regard to major infrastructure projects considered under National Policy Statements.This Framework Agreement will last for 4 years.
