Minesto is seeking advice and, initially, some practical assistance from a consultant with a good understanding of the challenges within the marine energy sector in general; and with practical management experience within a fast-growing SME in the marine renewables or related sector.The consultant will provide general advisory services covering strategies for: commercial / project development, UK public affairs, array project finance; and other public and private funding opportunities. The consultant will initially provide specific advice on corporate governance and procedures related to setting up and recruiting a team for the UK organisation. Advice and support will include, but not be limited to the following:• Relevant UK government regulations and policies affecting the Deep Green development at Anglesey.• Identify additional opportunities for UK support.• Meetings with key public and private sector stakeholders to promote Minesto’s interests in the UK, as and when relevant.• Support team building strategy; and provide access to personal networks to support Minesto’s recruitment activities in the UK.• As required - support Minesto’s UK development strategy for short and medium term.• As required - review and feedback on strategy papers/planning documents.The consultant will also provide practical assistance – if and when required to maintain momentum. Practical support will include but not be limited to the following:a) Site development (securing land, consents, licenses, grid connection, etc).i) Support Site Development Project Manager with setting up progress/risk review processes; scheduling and budget support for all site development activities. Provide risk assessments to inform decisions on key issues as required.ii) Advise on additional resource requirements; and – where necessary – identify contractors/consultants to tender for key tasks.iii) Advice on terms and conditions for legal agreements related to the project (grid connection liabilities, partnerships, etc).iv) Lead the project’s grid connection work package – working with the Minesto team and related consultants to put finance, consents, planning, and legal agreements / contracts in place for the project to connect on time / budget.b) Funding & Resourcing – advice and practical assistance where required to help secure additional funding, finance and/or resources to deliver the project locally.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=36133.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
