The five Public Service Boards (PSBs) in Gwent are aiming to improve their understanding and measurement of local well-being in order to improve the well-being of their populations. The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 charges public bodies in Wales with a duty to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of Wales, in accordance with the principle of sustainable development.The Gwent PSBs wish to undertake a pilot project to:- Develop a framework to enable better understanding and assessment of the local determinants of sustainable and equitable well-being- Develop a web-based tool to measure the detailed reality of personal well-being within their communitiesKey deliverables from the project will include:- A set of indicators which measure aspects of well-being including – work, health, education, place and community- Provision of a baseline level of information to demonstrate where individual PSBs are doing well and where more work is needed- Information at a granular level to enable analysis at various geographical levels including communities, electoral wards, Middle Layer Super Output Areas, neighbourhoods and local authorities- The ability to be able to compare results between different areas within Gwent and with other areas of the UK- A clear and accessible web-based portal to engage with individuals, enabling better understanding of how people feel in their lives, work and communities, and how they interact with their locality- Training sessions for PSB staff in how to analyse the data and build in-house capacity for future years, and ensure the widest possible up-take of use of the web-based tool- Provision of infographic type outputs to enable better accessibility to results for citizens, partners and frontline workers- Welsh translation of web-based portal and supporting informationNOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=64711.
