Durham County Council (the Council) has its own internal design and print department. The department's professional and highly qualified staff along with effective use of the latest technology enables the Council's Design and Print section to offer a high quality service providing the majority of design, promotional, print and mailing needs of the Council The large format and display printing capabilities of the Council's Design and Print are however limited and therefore the Council wishes to set up a framework panel of three suppliers who are cost effective with good levels of quality, are capable of delivering within short timescales, comply with current legislation and are recognised as an environmentally responsible organisations. Suppliers will be required to provide a comprehensive, effective, efficient and economic service for the supply of large format and display printing requirements within the scope of this Framework. Please see below the variety of items that can be required (please note this list is not exhaustive): •A-Boards •Banners with eyelets (vinyl) •Backlit Poster Printing •Banner Stands •Canvas Printing •Cardboard Cut-outs •Correx Printing •Contra Vision Printing •Display Stands •Desktop Banner Stands •Foamex Printing •Fabric Printing •Foam Board Printing •Flexible PVC Printing •Floor Graphics •Flags •Feather Flags •Giant Cheques •Kappa Board Printing •Large Format Posters •Linkable Banner Stands •Leaflet Holders •Leaflet Dispensers •Mesh PVC Banners •Outdoor Banner Stands •Replacement Banner Stand Graphics •Self-Adhesive Vinyl •Twist Banner Stands •Window Stickers (small) It is estimated the annual average spend on this Framework is approximately £35,000 this figure is provided as an estimate only and we cannot guarantee future levels of expenditure. The Council will award places on the framework to a maximum of 3 suppliers. The 3 suppliers with the highest scores following the evaluation process will be awarded a position on this framework. The Council may place orders for specific items with all 3 suppliers who are awarded a place on the framework. The Council will identify an item when required. The order will be placed for each specific item with the supplier who has submitted the lowest fixed cost for that particular product. After 6 months the Framework will be subject to a price refresh, this price refresh will be evaluated 100% on price. The Council reserves the right to amend the % weightings for each product when a price refresh takes place. A price refresh will be carried out every six months for the full duration of the Framework. The Council will issue a Further Competition based 100% on price when there is a requirement for a project which requires a range of products and the Council has determined it would be more efficient to use one supplier.
