Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the Regional Transport Partnership (RTP) for the west of Scotland. We are part of the transport framework created by the Scottish Government, which is made up of a national transport agency for Scotland and seven Regional Transport Partnerships. The SPT area comprises of the following council areas: East Dunbartonshire, East Ayrshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, West Dunbartonshire and the Helensburgh and Lomond area of Argyll and Bute.As part of SPT's core activities we secure and award various types of transport contracts on behalf of council Education and Transport departments within the SPT area, Development Agencies and Health Trusts.The purpose of this tender is to set up a multi supplier framework for the provision of Subsidised Local Bus Services and/or SPT wide Network Enhancements with Contractors in possession of a current DVSA Operator's Licence and/or Transport Act 1985 Licenced Permit holders.The framework comprises of 13 Lots and Contractors can tender for any number of Lots.Please see Tender Documenatation for further informationNote: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Public Contracts Scotland Web Site at http://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=309262.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
