Framework for the ethical disposal of office equipment
Descriptions
The purpose of this ITT is to appoint a single supplier to a framework to deliver a high-quality recycling service to uplift and ethically repurpose surplus furniture and equipment identified as no longer being required at lease end from Scottish Enterprise offices. It is anticipated that the framework will start on 8th August 2022 for a period of 24 months. The value of the framework is expected to be in the region of between GBP28,700 and GBP41,000 and excluding VAT for the initial two year period. After this period, Scottish Enterprise will have the option to extend the contract for a further period of 12 months with an estimated value between GBP9,800 and GBP14,000 excluding VAT. The key aim behind this framework is to have the surplus office furniture and equipment removed from our offices in such a way that they have a sustainable and ethical future, ideally in the communities and charities local to the office from which they have been removed. We are looking to appoint a supplier who can assist us in this through uplifting the items and sourcing an end destination for them whilst paying due heed to the Scottish Enterprise Waste Hierarchy and Zero Carbon aims. Where possible Scottish Enterprise would aim to minimise carbon emissions associated with travel and transportation of items and welcomes bids from suppliers who can demonstrate this
