FRAMEWORK FOR THE HIRE OF HIGHWAYS AND CONSTRUCTION PLANT EQUIPMENT, AND WELFARE UNITS
Descriptions
The aim of this procurement is to implement a framework which covers all of the Council's requirements for the hiring of construction plant and equipment and vehicles and welfare units
The Contract is split into 10 Lots and Contractors may submit a bid in respect of individual pieces of equipment within the Lots. Detailed below are the categories of plant/equipment included within each Lot. All equipment must comply fully with all British and European regulations and standards at the time of hire.
Up to a maximum of 5 Contractors will be awarded to each piece of plant or equipment on the Framework based on the ranked score achieved.
Delivery of the equipment will mainly be at locations throughout Gateshead but may extend to other parts of the region. This will be specified at the time of order.
The equipment is split in to the following lots;
Lot 1 - Operated 180 Excavator (JCB) + Full range of buckets
Lot 2 - Operated Plant (Other) (ie. 360 excavators etc.)
Lot 3 - Non operated Plant
Lot 4 - Non operated Tipper trucks
Lot 5 - Operated Tipper trucks
Lot 6 - Non operated Other Heavy Vehicles (above 3.5 tonne)
Lot 7 Small Tools
Lot 8 - Access Equipment
Lot 9 - Fuel Tanks
Lot 10 - Accommodation
