BackgroundCadent exists to keep the energy flowing. We are the UK's largest gas distribution network, owning four of the nine regional distribution networks and connecting 11 million homes and businesses through 82,000 miles of pipeline. We're proud to be at the heart of heat and we work closely with our communities to keep them safe, warm and connected, providing extra care for those who might need it in a gas emergency. We maintain, repair and replace gas pipes to ensure the safe and reliable flow of gas now and long into the future. We manage the national gas emergency number on behalf of the gas industry, responding to gas escapes and repairing leaks.
