The Big Lottery Fund ("BIG") is seeking an organisation to provide support and development services to grant applicants and successful grant beneficiaries for its Fulfilling Lives: A Better Start Programme.The Fulfilling Lives: A Better Start Programme is a funding initiative of up to GBP 165m, investing in a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 geographic areas in England where each geographic area runs a variety of programmes and approaches that are shown to improve social and emotional development and must cover such interventions as language development; diet and nutrition of babies and children from pregnancy to 3 years of age.The successful provider will be required to:— deliver a package of support and development services to assist grant applicants to develop their plans and demonstrate new ways to design and deliver effective preventative services for expectant mothers, carers, babies and young children (up to 3 years old)— support 10 to 15 shortlisted grant applicants (each applicant will compromise a partnership from a specific geographic area) for 6 months and help them prepare a final funding application— support 3 and 5 successful applicants who will receive final awards of GBP 30–GBP 50 million each for the following 6 months.
