The objective of the wider project is to develop a requirements set and associated pre-conceptual design, for a microwave test facility.This test facility may include the ability to test any of the following:-Component level testing e.g. gyrotron cavity-High-powered gyrotrons-Novel source testing-Waveguide testing-Low power microwave testing-Launcher mechanical testing-Quasi-optical propagation testingThe areas of primary interest for this opportunity are:-Microwave source testing-High-powered microwave component testing-Gyrotron cavity thermal test rigIt is anticipated, subject to market engagement, that a maximum of 5 contracts will be awarded to parties with an interest in future use of such a facility.The estimated budget for each contract is between £10,000 and £20,000.This piece of work is required to be completed by the end of February 2025.
