The installation and commissioning of a Social Fire Alarm system in each individual domestic dwelling within Ashfield Homes Ltd Sheltered Accommodation buildings comprising of smoke detectors and separate intercom units which have the ability to communicate with a remote Alarm Receiving Centre via a new single Central Control Unit (CCU). Upon activation of the smoke detector within a flat, the detector will sound locally and also open up a two way line of communication between the tenant and the nominated Alarm Receiving Centre via the intercom and CCU in order to establish if the smoke alarm activation is as a result of an actual fire or is a false alarm.
