Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council are seeking suitably qualified and experienced training providers to deliver a range of courses to the participants in the Neath Port Talbot Genesis Wales 2 project.NPT Genesis targets lone parents (mainly females but not excluding males) that are economically inactive or unemployed within the geographical boundaries of the Local Authority. The target group are those furthest away from the labour market with low confidence and self esteem, and are not ready for training or employment on engagement. The courses run through NPT Genesis are likely to be the first courses that the participants have accessed for a long while. Getting each participant to the place where they are ready to start a course can be a challenging journey for the individual, and the training provider will play an important role in ensuring the participant feels secure, welcome, interested and enjoys the course and not marginalised in any way.NPT Genesis provides a package of easy to access client centred support including personal development, soft skills, advice, guidance and childcare for participants. The end aim is for the participant to become confident, independent and want to further their personal training and development to enable them to enter into a career of their choice.Framework of Training Providers:It is the Councils intention to operate this arrangement as a Framework agreement containing multiple training providers. The Authority anticipates appointing three contractors per lot on a ranked basis. The Authority reserves the right to appoint fewer or more contractors per lot. The framework will be split into lots based on the current demand and tenderers are required to bid for one or more lots.Core Service:To provide a range of accredited courses mainly at Level 1 some progressing to Level 2 where necessary. Course frequency and location will vary based on the number of participants referred to NPT Genesis in an area and the participant’s needs. The framework will be split into the following 9 lots:Lot 1 – Confidence BuildingLot 2 – Job PreparationLot 3 – Money Management / Budgeting for ChristmasLot 4 – Practical DIY SkillsLot 5 – Paediatric First AidLot 6 – Food Hygiene Level OneLot 7 – Fun Food for ChildrenLot 8 – Holistic TherapiesLot 9 – Beauty (Make-up application)The lots are based on current demand and are not an exhaustive list of courses. Training providers are encouraged to send in a list of courses that they are able to run, suitable for the NPT Genesis target group.
