GIB Credit Assessment Tool

Descriptions

The Green Investment Bank (GIB) is considering an investment (the “Transaction”) into an investment vehicle that will provide operating leases to UK based medium sized enterprises for retrofit and on-going servicing of commercial LED lighting. To support this platform, GIB intends to build a Probability of Default (PD) model for credit assessment of SMEs. GIB is looking to appoint an adviser to support the development of this model. Scope of Works: 1. Development of a data set to provide the input data for a suitable credit assessment model. 2. Development of a suitable model, GIB is considering two options here: a. The preferred supplier may build the model in consultation with GIB b. GIB will also consider building the model in house, in which case the preferred supplier would be retained to audit the model in terms of accuracy and effectiveness. The timetable for the entire project (end to end) is envisaged to be 4-6 weeks with engagement of preferred supplier in October.
