Awarded
GLA81404 For Embedded Youth Work Hospital Accident and Emergency (A&E) Service
Descriptions
MOPAC currently funds specialist support to young victims of violence in Major Trauma Centres in London. We want to intervene earlier and therefore we are commissioning an A&E based service in 5 of the capital’s priority A&Es. The service will identify vulnerable young people (aged 12 to 25 years) and help them to access and engage the support they need and deliver interventions directly where necessary to prevent any escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation and exploitation. The service has been divided into lots: — lot 1: Croydon University Hospital A&E — lot 2: University Hospital Lewisham A&E and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital A&E — lot 3: Newham University Hospital A&E — lot 4: The Whittington A&E. The estimated total value of the contract for 2 years is GBP 2 500 000. The funding will be allocated equally across the 5 A&E sites, each lot will be allocated a maximum estimate of GBP 500 000 over the 2 year period.
