The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who sought to establish a contract for the appointment of General Medical Services in North Cardiff Cluster.Following the decision of a three partner practice in North Cardiff to resign from their General Medical Services (GMS) contract on 30 November 2017, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking PQQ responses from suitably qualified General Practitioners to take over the contract.Practice Address;- Cathedral View, Llanidloes Road, Gabalfa, Cardiff, CF14 2ST- Llwynbedw Medical Centre, 82 – 86 Caerphilly Road, Cardiff, CF14 4AGThe practice has a list size of approximately 8,550 patients as of June 2017 and provides all essential, additional and a range of enhanced services from two premises both owned by two of the current GP partners. The practice is one of 11 practices in the North Cardiff Cluster which serves an overall patient population of 106,597. Out of Hours services are provided by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and protected learning time is supported through well attended CPET sessions.There is an opportunity for an existing GP partnership to consider taking the contract as it currently stands or a contract for either of the two sites. Please note that Cathedral View is purpose built and Llwynbedw Medical Centre is a remodelled residential property.The practice area extends from Thornhill and Lisvane in the North to Roath in the South, Whitchurch and Llandaff to the West and Cyncoed Road to the East.
