Using Jesus & Mary Secondary School’s fully equipped kitchen we require the provision of sustainable (evolving process) healthy, balanced and nutritious catering service to students and staff at affordable prices. A high quality, flexible and responsive service is sought combined with continuous improvement, and innovation for the 33 weeks of the year on which the school operates (School calendar will be issued to the successful tenderer). Users of the canteen will be mainly comprised from the student (both male and female) population and may include teaching and ancillary staff and authorised visitors to the school. The School welcomes all proposals on the provision of the food and beverages in the canteen however it should be noted that the menu must be in line with the School’s Healthy Eating Initiative* with the service provision to begin in August 2019 (specific date to be agreed). Promotion, marketing and educating the customer base is key to the success of the service provision by the service provider. The service provider may also, with notice, provide tea/coffee and/or light snacks for several events that may arise from time to time out of the ‘normal’ hours associated with the school e.g. Staff Meetings, Board Meetings, Visiting groups, Parent teacher meetings, sporting events. The successful tenderer must view the site in advance of submitting a tender proposal. The site visit will allow you to propose upgrades or changes (fixtures and fittings) to the canteen kitchen area, operate and manage the canteen in the school from an estimated start date of 27/08/2019. Liaison with the school board of management, may be required if any works or changes to the servery / canteen need altering.
