The overall aim of this commission is to ensure the delivery of a targeted, high quality governance assurance package across Welsh National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) and other partners in Wales.The purpose of this tender is to ensure strong governance assurance, early identification of risk and due diligence for sport in Wales. The governance assurance package is currently provided by an independent consultant. This current contract comes to an end on 31st March 2019. The new contract will therefore commence on 1st April 2019 and will be awarded for 12 months with an option to extend up to a further 6 months at the discretion of Sport Wales.Setting high aspirations for how the sport sector is governed and led is central to our purpose of enabling sport in Wales to thrive. Sport Wales are commissioning 3 packages of work to run concurrently for 12 months. These focus on support for the implementation of the GLFW; finance and financial governance support for Welsh National Governing Bodies of Sport and Sport Wales; and governance assurance for Welsh National Governing Bodies of Sport and other partners.
