As part of the Gower Landscape Partnership (GLP) programme of work there is a need to establish an Oral History project. In summary the project will:-•Establish an oral history group on Gower that will become self-sustaining•Recruit Volunteers•Arrange / deliver training:¿Preferably by an accredited trainer¿What is oral history?, understanding memory¿Who to interview, and how to approach potential interviewees¿Practical / interview techniques - question approaches, ethical issues, do’s and don’ts¿Copyright / legal¿Use of equipment*¿After the interview: summarising, transcription, copyright, archiving, making recordings available to the public¿Establish best practice for the project¿Produce training materials / booklet•Support volunteers to go out and make recordings•Establish and coordinate suitable “storage” of recordings, as appropriate and train and support volunteers to also do so e.g. with West Glamorgan Archives.•Work with one schoolNOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=63635.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
