The City & County of Swansea, in an informal partnership with Natural Resources Wales, Bridgend County Borough Council, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and Carmarthenshire County Council, seeks to appoint consultants to develop a Seascape Character Assessment (Seascape Assessment) for Loughor Estuary, Gower, and Swansea Bay (including Neath Port Talbot and Porthcawl), based on the methodology outlined in Natural England’s ‘Report NECR105: An Approach to Seascape Character Assessment’ and recent practice.The Assessment will cover the South Wales coast from Laugharne to Porthcawl, including the Loughor Estuary and the Gower peninsula.This Brief sets out the background, need and aim of the work, and identifies the key tasks and outputs anticipated. The timeframe within which the work needs to be completed along with details of how the project will be managed is also given.Tenders for the work are invited from consultancies that can fulfil the requirements as outlined in this Brief.An indicative budget of about £30,000 (exclusive of VAT) has been identified.
