The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish a contract for GP Practice File Sharing and Collaborative for Cluster Working.GP practices are under unprecedented levels of pressure due to ever increasing workloads, rising patient demand and significant population increases. GP Practice Managers have highlighted that there is a significant amount of wasted time and resources as a result of tasks being duplicated across all practices and have suggested that many policies and procedures could be developed once, centrally, and shared with other GP practices. On this basis, the Health Board have agreed to run project for two years to achieve this objective.
