At present there is no system for Ophthalmology clinicians to source all digital patient information and images. This is time consuming, inefficient and out of step with today's technology. The present system depends on paper reports, digital images and information that have to be accessed in patient notes, on separate software platforms and on separate sites and computers. Each item of software has individual credentials for login, due to IM&T and information governance guidelines. The aim is to combine all of this information and eliminate the need for paper reports and individual platforms, enabling the clinicians to utilise a single login to access all information and images relevant to the patient.
