This contract relates to the main ground investigation which will beused to provide confirmation of ground conditions and geotechnicalparameters for use in the ongoing project development and design offlood defences in the Graiguenamanagh and Tinnahinch areas. Theworks are proposed to take place across two different County Counciljurisdictions: Kilkenny County Council north of the River Barrow andCarlow County Council south of the River Barrow. Both Councils willrequire to be consulted by the Contractor throughout the works withany criteria imposed by both Councils to be adhered to.
