Descriptions
Greenshaw High School plan to expand by 2 forms of entry (+2FE) from 9FE to 11FE and an additional 100, 6th form students ready for academic year starting 5.9.2016. This will ultimately increase student numbers from 1 670 to 2 070 and staff from 202 to 243.To accommodate this the school will require additional teaching and office spaces, improved circulation to existing spaces and improved ancillary spaces such as increased WC, dining / school hall and staffroom capacity.This will be provided with a new 1 962 m2, 3 storey brick-clad extension requiring demolition of existing staff offices and entrance.Refurbishment works around the school will provide refurbished sixth form offices, a ramped access corridor, new sixth form WCs, a flexible school hall extension / dining / seminar space, an adjacent WC block, relocated staircase, enlarged circulation lobby, classroom refurbishments, refurbished and extended staffroom and reprographic spaces and landscaping work to provide car parking, access and planting. The procurement route is a single stage tender.
