Grounds Maintenance Term Service Contracts 2012-2018 with an option for the contracting Authority to extend for a further 24 months and a further 24 months thereafter.The Isle of Anglesey County Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified grounds maintenance contractors to provide a competitive tender for Grounds Maintenance works.This comprises of 4 no. separate contracts as listed below :-1.Urban Grounds Maintenance – which includes all grassed areas within the Island’s villages inside the 30 mph speed limit on highway verges and housing Council Estates adding up to approximately 570,000 sq. m.2.Rural Grounds Maintenance – which includes all grassed areas on junctions, roundabouts, bends, lay-by’s and verges outside the 30 mph speed limit on the highway network with an overall length of carriageway adding up to approximately 863 Kilometres.3.Education & Leisure Grounds Maintenance – which includes grassed areas and playing fields on up to 5 no. Secondary Schools and up to 51 no. Primary Schools, plus Leisure Centres and other Community Buildings and areas. 4.Domestic Garden Grounds Maintenance – which includes grassed areas within 39 sheltered housing developments and approximately 700 qualifying residential properties located on Council House Estates throughout the Island.The succesful tenderer is required to have Public indemnity insurance of £2m per incident in place at start of contract
