Dunedin Canmore Housing Ltd. is a registered social landlord with housing stock throughout Edinburgh, Lothians & Fife. It is their intention to enter into a contract to provide their Grounds Maintenance throughout their housing stock. The successful contractor will also be required to provide a 'Garden Aid' service as part of this procurement. This service is offered to their elderly and/or disabled customers. The service includes grass and hedge cutting within customer's private garden areas and requires the Contractor to be able to provide operatives who have a high degree of understanding and sensitivity to issues which will concern these customers.The ‘Garden Aid' service will be included within the contract but will be kept as a separate section and there will be provision to exclude it from the contract should Dunedin Canmore Housing consider they would not be getting best value by providing the service as part of a larger contract. Dunedin Canmore Housing shall also retain the option of scoring this section under a separate price/quality rating as part of the overall price/quality scoring and of awarding it as a standalone contract to the contractor offering best overall value for these works. This may mean that two contractors will be appointed under this procurement.The Contract is to be let for a period of 3 years with an option to extend the contract on a yearly basis for a further 2 years.
