The UK Parliament (the Authority) intends to launch a new online video platform displaying all procedural and some non-procedural video and audio content. The new platform will replace the existing parliamentlive.tv website.The new platform will:Extend the functionality of the existing parliamentlive.tv website ultimately bringing video to mobile devices, televisions and personal computers supporting range of video formats.Enable navigation of video through improved description.Provide access to video coverage of events through open data.Four services will be used to deliver the new platform.Lot 1. Video transport service.The capture of live video signals and transformation into multiple formats for delivery to internet viewers.Lot 2. Video playback service.A multi platform video player to store and present live and recorded video assets to internet viewers.Lot 3. Workflow and scheduling service.Manipulate live and recorded video assets and the associated systems according to business rules.Lot 4. Information access service.To provision a software solution to store and present video asset meta-data.The Authority awarded all lots to one supplier.
