Guernsey Electricity Ltd is looking for Expressions of Interest from companies who can Supply and Install a medium speed diesel generator in the ‘D’ generating hall of the Guernsey Electricity Ltd Power Station. It is expected that the new generator (3D) will be of a similar specification and performance to the existing engine — 2D (a reciprocating diesel engine directly coupled to an alternator with nominal capacity of 17 MW electrical output). The installation should be operational by Winter 2016/2017.
