Planning Directorate is responsible for producing guidance on how the requirements of The Conservation of Habitats and SpeciesRegulations 2017 (as amended following EU exit) are to beimplemented through the land use planning system in Wales. The Habitats Regulations have been amended following EU exit,case law has moved on and Natural Resources Wales has published planning advice on revised phosphate targets:[https://naturalresources.wales/guidance-and-advice/business-sectors/planning-and-development/our-role-in-planning-and-development/advice-to-planning-authorities-for-planning-applications-affecting-phosphorus-sensitive-river-special-areas-of-conservation/?lang=en]The last all-Wales training programme in this policy area was delivered in 2016.
