Hampshire Constabulary is the lead authority for the set up of a project gateway for the provision of navigator resource who will engage with young adult offenders, 18 to 24 years at risk of entering the formal justice system by assessing, identifying, and planning critical pathways for intervention to reduce the risk of re-offending.The navigators will form part of a team managed by Hampshire Constabulary to formulate engagement plans by identifying interventions and ongoing referrals and sign posting to other services to support the young adult to make positive life choices.These service will be provided under the guidance and control of the chief constable of Hampshire to support the young adults and to access universal, targeted and specialist provision and undertake early help interventions including family support services where appropriate.
