Hampshire County Council has awarded a contract for the provision of substance misuse services in Hampshire (that comprise of the local authority area) for adults and young people. This opportunity has allowed for the transformation of substance misuse services, to improve outcomes and maximise use of resources for the residents of the Hampshire County Council area. The Hampshire County Council Service consists of:— an adult substance misuse treatment service (including alcohol, opiate and non-opiates) providing both medical and psychosocial interventions,— a young people's substance misuse service (for people up to the age of 25 years),— a pharmacy drug-treatment service.These services are recovery-oriented, evidence based and tailored to the needs of individuals and communities in order to empower people to lead drug / alcohol free lives where possible.
