Awarded
Harvester Rig for Swansea University’s ESRI Bay Campus RICE Project (2)
Descriptions
Swansea University is looking to obtain a harvesting rig as the first stage of the downstream processing of micro algae from a feedstock of ~1-4 g/L to assist in harvesting of the algae cultures from photobioreactors. Initially, the harvester will be required to process 1000L per batch/2hrs, reducing to 20L, with a minimum hold up of <5-10L.All rigs require an ability to control temperature, and monitoring capabilities to measure temperature, pressure, pH, and conductivity. The footprint of all rigs must be small due to limited space (2mx1m).The project is being funded by WEFO monies and Swansea University is seeking a real and substantial in-kind contribution from suppliers.
