Buckinghamshire County Council is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of its population and targeting services to those areas of greatest need. As part of a programme of initiatives to improve the health of the most disadvantaged, the Council were seeking a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide a Health and Wellbeing Community Development and Health Improvement Programme within Buckinghamshire. The organisation will take a community development approach to health improvement, and through this will build the knowledge skills and confidence of individuals and also build capacity to support health and wellbeing in the local community. As part of the approach BCC required the provider to have a local presence within a target community of Aylesbury.
