Healthy Homes Needs Assessment
Descriptions
A Health Needs Assessment (HNA) is a systematic approach to understanding the housing stock of Oxfordshire, with reference to its impact on the health of the population. The contract aims to provide Oxfordshire's system partners with a single view of the housing stock (and where appropriate systems) in Oxfordshire and how it supports and could support a healthier population and narrow inequalities in health. This HNA will be used as part of a process to generate a baseline and monitoring platform for the four areas of focus in the Housing priority of the Oxfordshire health and wellbeing strategy. It will identify areas for improvement and focus in Oxfordshire in terms of geography, policy and interventions to improve the health of our community. It will also identify potential gaps in current datasets and their significance. Recommendations in the HNA will provide an opportunity to improve Oxfordshire health outcomes, particularly in groups where inequalities in health are greatest. The contract commenced on 9 December 2024 for a period of 6 months. The contract contains a unilateral option for the Council to extend the contract term by up to a further 6 months.
