Heating Upgrade Framework
Descriptions
Gentoo Group is a Registered Social Landlord that owns and manages approximately 28,000 properties across the boundaries of Sunderland, Houghton, Hetton and Washington - Tyne and Wear. The Group is currently working to ensure that all of its properties meet an EPC standard of "C" or higher by the year 2030. The purpose of this Framework is to procure a number of Contractors to ensure that this target is met by completing varying heating upgrade works within Gentoo properties. The works will include, but may not be necessarily limited to, the following: (a)Installation of combination gas boilers; (b)Installation of system gas boilers; (c)Installation of radiators; (d)Upgrade of existing heating control systems; (e)Cylinder insulation and replacement; and (f)Replacement of full distribution systems. The Framework is due to commence in April 2024 and conclude in March 2026. However, there is the possibility that this Contract may be extended beyond this term, subject to requirements, for an initial period of 1 year and a further extension of 1 year beyond that. Therefore, the maximum duration this Framework can run for will be a period of 4 years. It is still to be confirmed, but at the time of writing Gentoo intend to appoint a maximum of 4 Contractors to this Framework. The Tender is expected to be published in December 2023 with returns expected by February 2024. Award of the Framework will be made in late February/early March 2024, subject to approval
