Hedge & Sports Ground Maintenance for Fareham Borough Council

The Council is undertaking a detailed review of its hedge & sports ground maintenance service and is seeking to work in partnership with a suitable service provider to assist the Council with its vision to provide excellent customer relations and high service standards within its grounds maintenance service.To achieve the above aims the Council is seeking a reliable, innovative and financially stable contractor with a proven record of delivering a high quality grounds maintenance service to undertake the operations set out below in a professional manner and in compliance with the contract documents.The scope of service is based on the three main areas of work detailed below:- Hedge maintenance – The work includes approximately 39 kilometres of hedgerow to be maintained on two occasions per annum by tractor mounted flail and hand held equipment as appropriate. The hedges are located at various sites including; sheltered accommodation, general housing areas, open spaces, parks and cemeteries. A number of these locations are adjacent to roads and footpaths.- Rural grass – The work includes approximately 120,000 square metres of rural grass to be maintained on two occasions per annum by tractor mounted flail and a follow up team. This work is located at over 60 separate sites throughout Fareham and the majority is adjacent to the highway.- Sports pitch renovation – The work includes the aeration and end of season renovation of 2 rugby pitches, 18 adult football pitches, 5 9v9 football pitches and 5 mini soccer pitches.
