The MHRA science labs located at the South Mimms site and the organisation have numerous floor standing Ultracentrifuges and high speed centrifuges from a single manufacturer across the site. The Ultracentrifuges are used flexibly for a range of laboratory techniques including the purification of viruses, or the extraction of viral/bacterial nucleic acid. Around half of the ultracentrifuges are used in high containment areas.The various rotors used are compatible across the range of centrifuges and it is required that there shall be no loss of service as and when new centrifuges are installed.The restricted tender shall consist of 3 lots as described below.i)Supply, install and provide training for floor standing laboratory centrifuges from the same manufacturer, upto ultra performance speeds. ii)During the transition phase to provide own rotors and Beckman Coulter rotors (or compatible equivalents), that are necessary to allow MHRA to continue to operate efficiently.iii)Provide ongoing maintenance, calibration and certification services for MHRA’s entire fleet of centrifuges.Tenderers who have the capability are invited to Express their Interest in the first instance by registering and replying to this PIN.
