High-quality Short Breaks services make a real difference to the lives of children and young people (CYP) with disabilities and their families in Surrey, enabling them to achieve the best possible outcomes. They provide CYP with positive, enriching experiences where they can make friends, increase their confidence and improve their emotional and physical health, whilst also providing parents and carers with a break from their caring responsibilities to support their own wellbeing and spend time with other family members. High-quality Short Breaks services make a real difference to the lives of children and young people (CYP) with disabilities and their families in Surrey, enabling them to achieve the best possible outcomes. They provide CYP with positive, enriching experiences where they can make friends, increase their confidence and improve their emotional and physical health, whilst also providing parents and carers with a break from their caring responsibilities to support their own wellbeing and spend time with other family members. They also support positive outcomes for whole families. In addition to this, The Council has a statutory duty to provide a range of Short Breaks to support CYP with additional needs and disabilities (A&ND), and their families, and to provide these services during the day and night, at weekends and during school holidays. The Council is commissioning a range of Short Breaks services to support CYP and their families with a wide range of types and levels of need, under the following eight Lots: Lot 1 - Play & Leisure all Additional Needs & Disabilities (AN&D) Lot 2 - Play & Leisure Autism Lot 3 - Play & Leisure Complex Health Needs Lot 4 - Play & Leisure Visual Impairment (VI) Lot 5 - Play & Leisure Complex Needs Support - for CYP with complex needs or multiple disabilities requiring 1:1 or 2:1 support in a setting Lot 6 - Overnight Short Breaks Lot 7 - Family Breaks - for whole families of CYP with complex needs or multiple disabilities Lot 8 - Innovation Fund
