Descriptions
Provision of a highways, street lighting and highways structures maintenance and new works term contract to cover both maintenance of the network and smaller capital works up to an indicative ceiling of 250 000 GBP per project.The contract is envisaged to include the provision or organization of the provision of services which include but may not be limited to:1) Highways maintenance;2) Professional services for highways;3) Construction and maintenance work for bridges;4) Traffic control, street lighting and street furniture provision and maintenance;5) Gully cleansing and emptying;6) Drainage works;7) Winter maintenance services, including provision of vehicles.The Council intends to use a contract based on the Midlands Highways Alliance (MHA) NEC contract, and bidders will be expected to comply with the Midland Highways Alliance's standard collaboration arrangements.An open book costing arrangement is envisaged.A salt barn will be provided.
