The purpose of this PIN is to inform the market of potential opportunities for the provision of certain services to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) and their intention to engage with potential suppliers potentially through a request for information and market engagement event. HMCTS is an agency of the MoJ and is responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family courts in England and Wales as well as certain tribunals across the United Kingdom. HMCTS is carrying out preliminary market engagement to help determine the design for the future provision to replace its current Scheduling & Listing software application (S&L) with associated maintenance, support and development. S&L is a business critical software application, which enables key personnel to interact with the system and set up court sessions (Scheduling) and book hearings into them (Listing), taking account of key data and management information to drive efficiency and effectiveness. The service supports the efficient conduct of hearings, the prompt progression of cases, and maximising the utilisation of the HMCTS estate.
