Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to conduct early market appraisals for the operation and management of two Household Waste Recycling Centres within the county borough. The Contracting Authority’s intentions at this stage are to formulate plans and gain an opinion on fair market rates for the operation of the sites.In terms of expectations, potential contractors will be required to demonstrate how they would achieve a minimum recovery rate of recyclable/compostable/re-usable materials of at least 90%.Full details of waste streams and volumes will be provided when the Contracting Authority engages the interested parties in discussions, prior to making a decision to go to market.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=66693.
