Awarded
Hoveton Great Broad - Design, Fabrication and Installation of Signage
Descriptions
Hoveton Great Broad (HGB) and Hudson's Bay are lakes connected to the River Bure, in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. These flooded peat workings once had clear-water and were a haven for fauna and flora. They have been internationally designated for their nature conservation interest. Currently there are contracts out to tender for the removal of sediment, archaeology and bathymetric surveys that will lead to the restoration of a clear water Lake. These works are being funded by Heritage Lottery and EU Life grants, as part of that grant a project needs to be undertaken that attends to the access and engagement and community involvement to support learning and appreciation of the natural environment. This project will seek to update the signage along the Hoveton great Broad Nature Trail. The current signage is old and one dimensional. This project seeks to not only update the signage ensure it blends with is surrounding but make it interactive where appropriate to create greater interest. This contract would be a design and fabricate requirement with a close working relationship with the Project officer.
