The Council is seeking responses from the independent marketplace about their ability to provide building based respite (also referred to as short breaks or residential replacement care).The provision of building based (overnight) respite to Individuals, aged 18 years old +, who have a primary diagnosis of a learning disability and/or autism. Individuals may require support with personal care, maintaining/managing hydration and nutrition, transfers, maintaining and managing any health issues/conditions.In addition, some individuals may, display behaviours that challenge, have profound and multiple disabilities have limited or no verbal communication, have other physical health, mobility, frailty, ageing issues including risk of fall, complex health needs, epilepsy and dementia. With requirements for; support to transfer, aids and adaptations, such as hoists.The services will provide both 'planned' respite and support in case of an emergency.
