Specification SummaryWe are inviting tenders for a Steam Injection Gun ( Steam Explosion Rig) for pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass prior to enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation .The steam injection gun must be able to rapidly heat biomass using pressurised steam and maintain pressure, which can then be rapidly de-pressurised safely.Requirements include:-Reactor capacity = 20 to 30 LitresOperating temperature = 230 ° COperating Pressure = 30 bargBoiler capacity = > 190 LitresBoiler kW = 25Boiler operating pressure = 33 bargThe Steam Injection Gun will have to be installed in the new IBERS Biorefining Facility, Aberystwyth University, Gogerddan Campus, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales, SY23 3EB.
