This Prior Information Notice is a call for competition in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU Article 48(2) Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, the Contracting Authority, is looking to award a framework for an iCaSH Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Service. The framework with identify a provider who shall provide a comprehensive clinical laboratory diagnostic service within an overall system of resilient pathology service provision that must, but not limited to, provide •meet the service needs of the designated contraception and sexual health services; •act as an enabler for the delivery of clinical services across iCaSH; •improve overall user and patient experience and optimise the patient journey; and •improve clinical outcomes and streamline clinical pathways. •clinical laboratory diagnostic services including;- (i)Haematology (ii)Biochemistry (iii)Virology (iv)Microbiology including bacteriology (v)Immunology (vi)Cytology with HPV testing where indicated, as per National Cervical Screening Programme guidelines (vii)Histopathology Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, the Contracting Authority, wishes to establish a Framework Agreement for iCaSH Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Service. The Framework Agreement will firstly be utilised by the Contracting Authority. However, it will also be available to use by UK public sector bodies (and any future successors to these organisations), which include Central Government Departments and their Arm's Length Authorities and Agencies, Non Departmental Public Authorities, NHS Authorities and Local Authorities. Serco ASP is acting on behalf of the Contracting Authority, Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. The framework is to firstly cover the delivery of iCaSH Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Service to, but not limited to, multiple locations across the East of England. This framework agreement also allows any NHS, local authority and any partially funded or fully funded public sector entity to benefit from the Framework without a complicated or expensive procurement cycle. However, all requests to access the framework must complete a Framework Access Agreement first. The duration of the framework is initially 36 months (from the contract start date) with an option to extend for a further 12 months All expression of interests to participate in this opportunity and all information regarding this opportunity will be through the Supplying to the NHS tendering portal which can be found at https://www.supplying2nhs.com/procontract/healthservice/cms.nsf/vHomePage/fSection?OpenDocument (registration is free of charge)
