Impact Assessment and Equality Impact Assessment of widening participation initiatives to support doctors entering the Foundation Programme

Descriptions

The primary objective of this procurement is to source a qualified specialist provider to design and conduct focus groups in England with a cohort of recent medical school graduates, who have entered the profession via widening participation (WP) programmes. The purpose of the focus groups will be to develop HEE's understanding of the experiences of WP graduates in the UK Foundation Programme, and to seek their views on how this experience could be improved. The outputs of the focus groups will be used by HEE to develop and refine a range of initiatives to reduce inequality for WP trainees in the foundation programme. HEE will formally consult on these policy options in 2020.
