Improvement to the Materials Recycling Facility Caernarfon — New Canline
Descriptions
The Gwynedd Council Highways and Municipal Department is responsible to managing the Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in the Cibyn Industrial Estate in Caernarfon. The MRF is used to shorting and bulking of kerbside collected dry recyclables including glass, paper and card, cans, plastic bottles, mixed plastics and cardboard beverages cartons. The current issues in the MRF are: Kerbside collection some items are currently been bagged up in plastic bags which the current set up in the MRF is causing breakdown and delay for the facility, The client is currently not achieving the best price for the Steel and Aluminium recyclables. The client requires a contractor design, manufacture and install a new canline and improvement to the infeed conveyor full scope of the scope can be found in in Volume 2 – Scope. Tenders must be submitted in accordance with the following instructions. Tenders not complying with these instructions in any particular way may be rejected by the client whose decision in the matter shall be final. The client reserves the right not to proceed with any proposals made in response to this invitation. The client reserves the right to reduce the Scope after the tender submission if required.
