Descriptions
In Surrey we want to improve the expertise and confidence of frontline practitioners to ensure that they are able to identify survivors of domestic abuse and their children, and support them to stay safe. This commissioned service would focus on providing training to family facing practitioners working with survivors and children who are subjected to and affected by Domestic Abuse, and those who are or have been perpetrating this behaviour. These partnerships include Surrey County Council (SCC) services, Schools, Early Years services, Health, and Police. The main outcome of the commissioned service is to raise awareness, improve identification and increase professional confidence in their role when working with survivors, families and perpetrators. We would like the service to run from July 2022 until March 2024 with no possible extension as we are recommissioning all domestic abuse services, including training, to start April 2024.
